Why this blog...

I am the mother of the three most talented, intelligent and beautiful children ever to live on this earth. I am also privileged to be married to the most wonderful man! He has added three additional talented, intelligent and beautiful children to our family! I have a job that I mostly love, a wonderful education, a beautiful home, marvelous family, and I have the privilege of belonging to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been greatly blessed in my life, but I sometimes forget that. So, I decided to create this blog as a way to remind myself of all the many blessings and miracles that surround me. (I'm also terrible at keeping a journal- so this will be something for my kids to enjoy as well.)

I hope you enjoy what you read. I would love to hear what you think!

Playing with the Birds

Last week my sister and her amazing husband (last name of Bird) had the assignment to go to Youth Conference with their Stake. Only catch, they have 6 adorable children who would NOT be going with them! So I became the mother of 10 for a little while!!! (Alison and Eric, of course are married and on their own, Charly (18), Jon (16), Braden (13), Dallin (11), Austun (9), Ryan (7), Makayla (4), and Adilynne (2)). It was a great time!!!

With three of the boys in year-round school, Jon at work, Charly doing her thing, and Braden enjoying time with friends, I spent a lot of time enjoying little girls!

This is their favorite 'paper doll' - it's a cut-out pic of Charly!

You can tell they enjoy life! And so much fun to be, according to Adilynne, 'Ant Dee'- or according to Makayla, 'Ant DeeDan' or 'Ant DeeDandy' when she gets talking fast! Ha, ha! I'll take
it
any day...

Favorite part, being followed everywhere I go! For some reason my own teenage kids just don't do that any more... They also do not lay on the floor outside the bathroom door waving their little fingers under the door and giggling while saying, 'see Ant Dee's shoes!' I am so blessed to have a sister who trusts me to care for her kids! Thanks, Ardis!
